senior associates to partner: Diego
Fernandez,
Gustavo
Morales Oliver and

Mosteirin.
These promotions strengthen the development of three of the firm’s
most innovative, cutting-edge practice areas: Information Technology
& Privacy; Compliance, Anticorruption & Investigations; and
Life Sciences. The new partners already have a wealth of experience
and are highly specialized in their respective areas of expertise:

Diego Fernández is a technology expert, with 14 years of experience. His wide range of expertise includes IT law, software licensing, E-commerce, IT agreements, due diligence and IT compliance, privacy, data protection, cyber security, Internet law, and cloud computing. Diego is ranked as a leading lawyer in the Argentina TMT section of Chambers Latin America. He has a Master’s in Information Technology and Privacy Law from The John Marshall Law School, Chicago, and is a former foreign associate in the IT & Privacy group at Foley & Lardner, Chicago. He is also a Board Member and Vice-Chair of the South America Committee of the International Technology Law Association (ITechLaw), co-chair of the Argentina Chapter of International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), and member of the Technology Committee of the IBA, the Internet Committee of the INTA, and the Open Source Software Committee of the ABA.

Gustavo Morales Oliver is a key member of Marval’s compliance and anti-corruption practice. He is fully dedicated to this practice area, giving him unique, hands-on experience of compliance programs, investigations and related litigation. He has advised international companies from a range of industries and participated in many local and international investigations and cases in this highly specialized field. Gustavo teaches Compliance at the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella Law School. He earned an LL.M. from the University of Illinois and is admitted to practice in both Argentina and New York, USA.

Martín Mosteirin advises leading multinational companies on regulatory strategies and compliance in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, biotech, medical and medical-technology devices, dental products, cosmetics, toiletries and perfumes, household cleaning products and food sectors. He has strong expertise in both contentious and non-contentious matters. Martín holds postgraduate qualifications in Pharmaceutical Regulatory Matters and Corporate Advice on the International Trade of Goods, Financial Operations and Payment Methods in Contemporary Commercial Law.

Diego Fernández: Experto en tecnología, con 14 años de experiencia. Cuenta con una amplia expertise que incluye derecho de tecnología de la información, licencias de software, e-commerce, acuerdos de IT, due diligence y compliance IT, privacidad, protección de datos, ciberseguridad, derecho de internet y cloud computing. Diego ha sido reconocido como un abogado líder de TMT en Argentina en Chambers Latin America. Completó un máster en Tecnologías de la Información y Privacidad en The John Marshall Law School, Chicago, y trabajó como abogado extranjero del área de práctica de IT & Privacidad en Foley & Lardner, Chicago. Es miembro del Directorio y presidente del Comité de Sudamérica de la International Technology Law Association (ITechLaw), vicepresidente del capítulo Buenos Aires KnowledgeNet de la International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), miembro del Comité de Tecnología de la International Bar Association (IBA), del Comité de Internet de la International Trademark Association (INTA), y miembro del Comité de Software Open Source de la American Bar Association (ABA).
